I’ve been steadily working on my longboard for a while. I just got a set of Posca paint markers, and have been dying to use them already. These things are pretty neat. They flow well, and are thick enough to apply liberally, especially for stylized pieces like this one.
Testing sketches. Digging all the spirally stuff.
The original base graphics. Later, dude!
After sanding down the old paint, I laid down a base orange coat.
Laying the first coats of paint after the orange base. The lighter Posca markers come on thinner, so I had to do 4-5 passes on a lot of these, just to make the color really pop. Maybe I should have wetsanded the base color first.
My Posca set actually did not come with orange, so I bought some Craftsmart paint markers from Michael’s.
Using the white marker for the background pattern.
Background pattern done.
After clear coating. All done! Just need to clean the bearings, and put the wheels and trucks back on.
